WHAT IS A SILK SCREEN PRINT

A silk screen print is created by pressing ink through a prepared mesh screen onto paper. Each colour is usually printed separately, building the final image in layers. The process produces rich colour, strong graphic detail and a distinctive tactile finish.

What does limited edition mean?

Each print in a limited edition belongs to a defined edition, so it is not a unique, one-of-a-kind original artwork. An edition of 15, for example, contains 15 numbered prints. Once the edition size has been set, it is not increased. The edition size and current availability are shown on each ZeTrunk product page.

Are limited-edition silk screen prints original art?

ZeTrunk silk screen prints are original artist-designed prints produced in small editions. Each design begins with Ze’s own words, drawings, symbols and visual ideas before being developed specifically for print.

Every print belongs to an edition, so it is not a unique, one-of-a-kind original artwork. However, it is also different from a mass-produced reproduction or poster.

Are ZeTrunk silk screen prints signed and numbered?

Signature, numbering and edition information are listed in the print details on each product page. Because the specifications can differ between artworks, check the individual listing for the exact details of your chosen print.

A number such as 3/15 means that you own print number three from an edition of fifteen.

Are all the prints in an edition exactly the same?

Prints within an edition share the same design, but the physical screen-printing process can create small variations in ink, alignment, pressure or texture. These differences are part of the character of a hand-printed edition rather than necessarily being faults.

Some ZeTrunk prints are also worked back into by hand, giving individual pieces additional marks and personality. Where this applies, it will be explained on the product page.

What is the difference between a screen print and a digital print?

A screen print is built physically by applying separate layers of ink through prepared screens. A digital print is produced directly from a digital image file using a specialist printer.

Screen printing often creates strong areas of solid colour and a tactile surface, while digital printing can reproduce intricate detail and a wider range of colours and tones. Neither method is automatically better—the right process depends on the artwork.

What sizes and paper are used?

Sizes, paper stocks, colours and printing methods vary between artworks. You will find the dimensions and materials in the print details on each product page, helping you choose a piece that suits your space.

Check whether the stated measurements refer to the full sheet of paper or the printed image before choosing a frame.

Do the prints arrive framed?

ZeTrunk silk screen prints are generally supplied unframed unless the product page states otherwise. If you would like help choosing a frame, contact Ze to discuss suitable styles, colours and available options.

How should I care for a silk screen print?

Keep your print away from prolonged direct sunlight, moisture and significant changes in temperature. Avoid touching the printed surface, and handle the paper with clean, dry hands.

For long-term protection, have the artwork professionally framed using suitable archival materials and glazing with UV protection.

How will my print be packaged?

All artwork is packed carefully to help it arrive safely. Prints are sent flat in sturdy, protective packaging where appropriate.

Framed artworks receive additional wrapping and padding to protect the frame and artwork during delivery.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

Can I return or exchange an art print?

Return eligibility and instructions depend on the artwork and circumstances. Please read the Returns Information before sending anything back, or contact ZeTrunk if you need help with an order.

Will the colours look exactly the same as they do online?

Every effort is made to show the artwork and its colours accurately. However, screens display colour differently, so the finished print may vary slightly from what you see on your phone, tablet or computer.

Fluorescent inks can be particularly difficult to reproduce on screen and may appear even brighter in person.

Can ZeTrunk prints be delivered framed?

Most ZeTrunk prints are supplied unframed unless the individual product page states otherwise.

What should I do if my print arrives damaged?

If your order arrives damaged, photograph the outer packaging, the artwork and any visible damage. Contact hello@zetrunk.com as soon as possible and include your order number and photographs.

Please keep the artwork and its original packaging while the issue is being reviewed. ZeTrunk will then advise you on the next steps.
